Dress // Dress in Plus Size // Shoes // Earrings // Bag
One of the reasons I love fashion is there is SOMETHING out there that looks amazing on EVERY BODY. And since I began working in retail as a teenager, I realized I had a passion for making every BODY feel amazing in their own skin. I could envision what would look complimentary on each person that walked into my store, and I found extreme pleasure in seeing them pleased with the end result.
To this day, I get butterflies when someone reaches out to me and tells me they love an outfit I suggested for them. I just love lifting up people around me and making them feel beautiful. It never ceases to amaze me how people’s perspective of their own beauty is so individual and personal. When I see a curvy woman frolicking on the beach with a cheeky swimsuit, I revel in her confidence and ability to enjoy life and love the skin she’s in. And I’m inspired to continue to work on accepting and loving myself to the fullest.
One of the ways to celebrate your body is to wear things that compliment your figure. And I have found something that I think will really do that for a majority of body types!
Remember the eighties and shoulder pads? Baby, they were in EVERYTHING. Even a ski onesie I scored recently for an eighties-themed ski party! And there was a reason for it. It accentuates your waist and emphasizes your smaller midsection. And it’s brilliant! Well, shoulder pads aren’t in– I’m not terribly sorry to say — but the 2018 equivalent is the puff sleeve! It creates the same attention to your upper body, accentuating your mid section.
I have to share this dress with you because I swear, it’s one of the few gorgeous dresses I’ve seen sit on the rack longer than I would expect at my local Target. And I know exactly why. It looks like a potato sack on the hanger! Seriously. You would have NO idea how complimentary this is until you pull up that magical zipper. This dress is a perfect light cotton that comfortably cinches in the waist and hits at the perfect length to allow you to wear flats, wedges, or a chunky heel. It all looks perfect! If comes in plus sizes, too, and a black and white version! I love it SO MUCH. I, of course, have it in both color options and would buy it in any other color they would possibly provide!
I am wearing a comfortable size small, so it runs true to Target sizing. Grab this dress while you can, and let me know if you do and how much you love it!
XOXO
