The Pants:  Target   //   Shirt: Lulus   //   The Shoes: Nordstrom

Target and Nordstrom basically styled my entire Clearwater Beach trip this past weekend.  And it’s so perfectly me!  I love a little high/low action where you spend what you need on what really matters.

The Pants:

I love these high waisted palazzo pants from Target. They are RIDICULOUSLY comfortable.  You body tells you you’re wearing PJ’s, but the flight attendants tell you that you look like a celeb.  Check! The cinched waistband and flowy leg create a tailored yet comfortable look that is perfect for the chic traveler.  Stop looking over your shoulder. I’m talking about you!   They are difficult to wrinkle (and even if you do, nobody would notice), so they are perfect for travel.  You can make these a higher waisted pant or have them sit at your natural waist depending on your shoe height and desired look.  It’s your call.  The fun deal with these is that nobody will think it looks “wrong”. These pants are made for you to customize. The pockets are deep and useful (I threw my phone and wallet in them when I ran to grab a bite to eat), and add a fun contrast to the rest of the pant. The Top:

Easy and complimentary, this sleeveless turtleneck from Lulu’s doesn’t suffocate me.  I have been prone to feeling way too enclosed in tight turtlenecks, and this one passes the Psycho-Lishie Test.  I was able to wear it on the plane, even when it was too warm before takeoff.

 

The Shoes:

Don’t walk. RUN TO BUY these shoes!! I have them in SEVERAL colors.  I know. You’re shocked.  But seriously.  They are insanely comfortable and every blogger has them.  They have super soft leather and the wedge is perfectly positioned so you don’t feel like you’re on much of a heel at all but still get that added lengthening of the leg.

The Fit of It All:

• The Pants: Am I allowed to admit this? I have two pairs of these.  I love the way they look with some added height.  I’m 5’4″, but my torso is long and I’d say I have the leg length of a person who is 5’1″.  I bought one pair to keep at the normal length and wear with wedges and one to tailor to wear with flats for those kind of days.  Look. When the pants are this cute and UNDER $15, you can totally do the same!
• The Top:  I have this shirt in a medium, consistent with the size chart.
• The Shoes: If you have a wide foot, go one half size up on these shoes.  Otherwise you’re fine to go with your normal size.
