Every year we take my husband’s office on an all-expenses paid trip to somewhere fabulous to reward them for their hard work during the year. We have been to Playa del Carmen, all over Cancun, Playacar, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Puerto Vallarta, and Cabo San Lucas. This was our 17th year to take them, and we returned to Cabo San Lucas. There were forty one of us on the trip, and everybody was really grateful and happy. We stayed at the newly renovated Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas, and it was a lovely time!
The champagne was free-flowing, and I certainly had my share! And it made me feel brave enough to take some pretty silly model-wannabe shots. It’s not hard to feel fab when that incredible ocean is your backdrop.
I absolutely LOVE my swimsuit. And I love that right now it’s on sale! I bought it in this gorgeous Persimmon color and recently in the Caribbean Blue. I also adored my ridiculously huge hat! Not only is it a serious statement piece, but it really does the trick of providing coverage of your face, neck, and shoulders in that no-joke Mexican sun. It comes in lots of fun colors, and writing this post I just bought two more! Oops!
The Fit: I tried both the small and the medium in this suit. Both fit in the body area, but there was not nearly enough coverage in the chest for me with the small. As you can see, the plunging neckline is daring enough in the medium! The straps are adjustable in the back, and I tightened them as tight as they could go. And, of course, I did the “swoop” to put things where they ought to be. This suit provides medium support for your chest. I strategically wore this suit when the most effort I spent all day was walking from the room to the pool, so it was the perfect choice for a lounging kind of day! The material is soft and feels luxurious. In my opinion, it justifies the original price tag, but what’s not cuter with a sale price!?!

I have no doubt this suit will still be fashionable come next Spring. The sexy, plunging neck one-piece isn’t going anywhere any time soon. My cover up is under $22 and perfect for a one piece. Personally I prefer something that opens up to the front to cover up a one piece, and a bit more coverage for a bikini. It just allows you versatility if you want to grab some lunch and not be flashing the world with too much skin. Skin has it’s place! No shame in that game! But next to the guacamole isn’t it…
