What’s not to love about Greek food!?!?! Honestly. Bright, vibrant flavors combined with fresh produce and crusty pita bread. And Tzaziki sauce. Oh, sweet Tzaziki sauce. Luxurious and decadent creamy dip only disguised as unhealthy, but actually full of good-for you high-protein greek yogurt, heart-healthy olive oil, garlic, and cucumbers! Oh the joy. Excuse me while I have a moment with the memory of my dinner last night.
Last night we went to my favorite Greek restaurant, Ziziki’s on Travis Walk. If you haven’t been, you HAVE TO. The service is amazing and accommodating, and the food is SO good. I always get the “Grilled Chicken” which sounds SO boring but is NOT. Two moist chicken breasts (sorry to offend the “moist” opponents) along with a Greek salad with creamy feta cheese, red onion, black olives, tomatoes, and tzaziki sauce, along with THE best roast potatoes you will ever have. I don’t understand how they do it. The potatoes are perfectly seasoned and crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. And the tzaziki sauce. I have to slow my roll here because I’m literally shaking my head, looking at the floor as we speak because of the AMAZINGNESS that is Ziziki’s. Be still, My Heart!
I’ve been to Greece once. We only had the chance to go to Athens which was extraordinary, but the Greek islands are on my list! Alas, if I can’t be on the Greek Isles, I figure I can at least dress the part and bask in the delish food!
My nautical look is so easy and comfy. A wrap skirt is amazing for fab meals such as these, as you can cinch the waist as much or little as you want — or NEED — after a fab meal! My cold-shoulder shirt is so on trend and comfy, and is on sale under $23! I’ve worn it tied in the front for a totally different look, and I also have it in “tickled green!” Funny name for a color, by the way.
