Comfy and Cute Travel Dress and Shoes

The Dress: Target  //  The Shoes: Nordstrom   //   The Bag: Amazon   //   Sunglasses (similar):  Express

The Dress:

This cinching in this Who What Wear dress from Target is so flattering on every body type because it hits just under the bust at the smallest part of your waist.  The material is perfect for travel as it’s substantial enough that is feels high quality yet it’s light and airy for warmer temperatures. It’s also wrinkle resistant and can come straight out of your suitcase onto your body without a hitch! It also comes in black and plus sizes here!

The Shoes:

I should probably be on the payroll for Sofft shoes at this point, as I am a complete convert. I have worn every stiletto and six-inch platform you could imagine, and I still love them! They have a place! But their place is NOT walking five miles on the boardwalk of Clearwater Beach. I wore this incredibly comfortable shoes for miles and my family who wore sneakers were uncomfortable while I was still in heaven. The bed of these shoes is like a freaking cloud, and they have the perfect velcro that doesn’t look like a velcro for open and close. I know. I know. I have a six year old, and velcro is weirdly reminiscent of only toddler days, but I’m telling you. Don’t sacrifice comfort anymore. There is simply no excuse. I remember a diva friend of mine saying, “Those shoes are meant for the car to the valet to the table and back” and she was right. I specifically bought this shoes for my upcoming two week Italy trip, but they came in incredible handy for a day of about five miles of walking in Clearwater Beach. Some boots are made for walking, and some are not. Don’t be afraid to experiment with what works for your foot and lifestyle. In the end, it doesn’t matter what they looked like in a pic for a millisecond if it kept you from enjoying your adventures for hours in a day.

The Purse:

The Cult Gaia Ark Bamboo Bag is without a doubt this season’s “it” bag.  But with prices as high in some variants as $300, I am thrilled to share this awesome dupe for just $42.99!! With Amazon prime, I got it shipped for free in one day!  If you don’t have Amazon Prime, they’re running a special right now to try it out for $5.99 a month.  I use Amazon Prime for SO many things, and it’s totally worth it for me.  I would advise you to compare prices of the things you would usually pay shipping for and see if you would come out on top.  If so,  Try Prime Discounted Monthly Offering with the preceding link.

Fit of it All:

    • For the Dress: Target runs more on the large size compared to designer sizing. In this dress, I am wearing an XS but I probably could have gotten away with a small, had they had it in the store.  The small would have had a slightly more bohemian look, so it’s your call!
    • For the Shoes: I wore my regular size in the “wide” width.  Most women know their foot pretty well, and they know if they’ve been stuffing their foot in shoes for years or not.  Go with your instincts on this one. Nordstrom.com has the most amazing return policy, so don’t be afraid to play around with your sizes to ensure you get the right fit.
