Dress // Wedges // Purse // Earrings
Some days you just want to wear a dress that feels like pajamas. Am I right? This past Sunday was one of those days where I just wanted to have an intimate lunch and relax the rest of the day. Since I always pick where we eat, I let the hubs pick the menu for the day, so of course we ended up at a local BBQ joint. Insert eye roll, but it was pretty decent! Peggy Sue’s, like so many of the restaurants in our local Snider Plaza has somewhat of a cult following. The neighborhood Facebook page will lament the change of the cole slaw like it’s an issue of world peace. Seriously. When the barbecue sauce changes? Lord save the world because all sense of decency is GONE and what is right with the world is NOW WRONG!
We started off with jalapeño stuffed Texas Torpedos and Elotes. Funny appetizer for a bbq place, but I think it might have been my favorite part! My husband, much like many of his tribe, really likes “the meats.” So he got his norm: brisket, extra lean, and he said it was really tender and delish. He had cole slaw and potato salad. I got turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy and bbq beans. It was all pretty tasty, but the bbq sauce and the beans weren’t my very favorite. I think bbq sauce is of such a personal preference, so I know I am likely in the minority on this one! Our son, Espen, had chicken tenders, mac n cheese, and mashed potatoes, and he liked them all!
I didn’t take any pics of the food which makes that part of the post pretty useless, ha! But I figured I’d let you know because I ramble in life so…. why not on my blog!? 😉
THE DRESS: This Chicwish Blue and White Porcelain Off-Shoulder Dress fit the bill perfectly for my day, and the stretchy midsection fit my bbq lunch perfectly, as well! I’ve showcased other dresses from the company Chicwish before on my blog like the gorgeous Stay Romance Maxi, and I really like the quality and variety they have. The material on this dress is more on the thin side, so I will say it’s slightly less luxurious of a material than many of the other dresses they produce for the price. However, the embroidery on the sleeves and bottom of the dress are on point and just might make up for the thinner material! Regardless, I still love the fit, and I love that you can wear it off-shoulder but it still also looks cute on-the-shoulder as you can see from my pics above.
Chicwish clothing fits true to their size chart, and I am wearing a medium.
THE SHOES: I’ve worn my Marc Fisher wedges two days in a row because they’re just that comfy! They’re on sale now and come in lots of other colors that you can shop either by clicking on the link below my pictures or by cruising through the banner below! Snag them while you can. They run true to size.
THE EARRINGS: My cutie pie earrings are super lightweight and on sale for SIX DOLLARS! You need them!
THE BAG: I adore this fun little purse! I bought it last year, but I still see the bamboo trend all over the place. It’s fun, light, and it matches everything. This particular bag is actually a dupe of a much more expensive bag by Cult Gaia for OVER $200! And I gotta sound like Payless here. You could pay more, BUT WHY!?!?! This looks exactly the same, and the trend will obviously last EXACTLY the same amount of time. So be smart, and spend money where it counts. Snag this beauty for $36 with free shipping on Prime!
Just FYI, if you’re reading this by email, you can’t see the banner! Just click on any links in the email or any of the pictures you see to head to my blog!
XOXO,
